Omantel–Ciena L3 Support & SPMS
End-to-end Level-3 engineering support and Spare Parts Management System (SPMS) for the Omantel–Ciena optical estate: DWDM core, metro and access. The largest managed-services engagement in the portfolio, keeping national wholesale and enterprise transport running with governed escalation, spares logistics, and vendor coordination against strict availability targets.
Omantel ECTN Metro Rings Phase 2 (WO#9)
Deployment of Omantel's metro optical rings under the Evolve Core Transport Network frame contract Phase 2. Delivered resilient ring topology across core metropolitan sites to carry rapidly growing wholesale and enterprise traffic, coordinated across multiple live sites without service disruption.
Omantel ECTN 11.9T Wholesale Expansion (WO#18)
Addition of 11.9 Terabits of wholesale capacity across core ECTN sites, spanning nine locations (Seeb, TCC, Equinix DC, Blue City, Azaiba, Bustan, Suwaiq, Khatmat Malaha and R. Khela), new photonic links, a 400G Awasr scope, and spectrum defragmentation including 800G provisioned between MC1 and Blue City at short notice on customer demand.
Omantel ECTN Photonic Links + 14.1T (WO#20)
Build of three direct photonic links between Equinix, Seeb, Blue City and Suwaiq, plus the addition of 14.1 Terabits of wholesale traffic between core ECTN sites. Extended the photonic layer of the national backbone while lifting inter-city wholesale capacity for Omantel's carrier customers.
In-Building Wi-Fi Solution Enterprise
Design, supply, installation, testing and optimization of in-building wireless coverage for Omantel enterprise customers including the Royal Flight office in Seeb and Al Araimi Boulevard with predictive RF site surveys and centralized activity monitoring. Delivered full-venue coverage for a TRA press conference within hours of the event start, earning a customer commendation.
Omantel ECTN IP Core & Metro Phase 3 (WO#11)
Expansion of the IP core and metro rings under Phase 3 of the Evolve Core Transport Network programme scaling routing and transport capacity across the national backbone to meet sustained wholesale and enterprise growth.
Cisco IGW Core Router Migration
Supply, installation and service migration of Omantel's wholesale IP/MPLS core onto Cisco 8808 routers replacing legacy Juniper PTX3K and Huawei equipment and migrating core, international and national services with added 100G capacity to a new core site. A high-risk, live-network cutover delivered inside the committed timeline.
ROP Dhahirah 24/7 Communications O&M
24/7/365 operations and maintenance of 80 communications sites across the Dhahirah region of Oman PDO and non-PDO, green-field, brown-field, rooftop and helicopter-access sites. Sustained service continuity for critical public-safety communications under demanding terrain and access constraints.
Damaniyat Island 35m Telecom Tower
Foundation and erection of a 35-metre telecom tower on Damaniyat Island. Every item of material and equipment was moved by RNO ferry, with the build sequenced around tides and weather and coordinated across Omantel, the Royal Navy of Oman, suppliers and the workforce a small-value program that demanded outsized logistics and multi-agency planning.
